Gift Day 2017
On 15th October we will be running our annual church Gift Day. This is an opportunity to give financially to a specific project or need. This year we are hoping to achieve an ambitious target of £50,000. This money will be given to fund the church plant to Christ Church Huntingdon, which Charlie Newcombe will be leading next year.
There are great spiritual needs in Huntingdon, with huge numbers of people un-reached with the gospel of Jesus Christ. If we are able to raise this money, it will fund the new church for its first year - helping it to become established and to begin reaching out with the good news of Jesus!
As well as prayerfully thinking about making a gift at Gift Day, you may also wish to consider reviewing your monthly standing order to the church. Whilst we strive to organise ourselves as efficiently and as leanly as possible, we are currently facing a deficit of £60,000 this year. Even an increase in giving by 5% a month would make a significant difference to being able to manage and plan our finances more sustainably, and enable us to pursue our vision of proclaiming the gospel to Cambridge and sending gospel workers to the world.
We are so thankful for the sacrificial and generous ways so many people give to the church’s work. There is no doubt that giving is a very great blessing in the Christian life. God has abundantly blessed us, and he will continue to provide for our every need.
How to give for Gift Day
If you would like to make a gift for Gift Day you can do so by the folowing two ways:
1) By setting up an electronic transfer to the church account (account number: 00010307, sort code: 40-52-40). Please make sure to reference this gift with 'Gift Day 2017'.
2) By giving cash or by cheque (payable to St Andrew the Great Church) at a Sunday service when the collection is taken. Please make sure to attach a note to this gift to reference that it is for 'Gift Day 2017'.
In either case, if you pay tax in the UK, please make sure you have completed a Gift Aid Declaration on the Giving Form, and return it to the church office via the response box at the back of the church building.
Thank you so much for your partnership in the gospel.
