Welcome! Whether you've just moved to the area, or have lived here all your life, we would love to welcome you to one of our Sunday services.
Frequently asked questions:
When and where does the church meet?
The church meets every Sunday at 10am and 5pm, and also at 11.30am during Cambridge University term time. It helps to get there 5 or so minutes early to get a seat in time for the service to start. The church is on St Andrew's Street (CB2 3AX) and the main entrance is under the church tower near the entrance to the Grand Arcade shopping centre (Lion Yard entrance).
For information about upcoming services please download a copy of our latest term card, or see our calendar. Unfortunately parking is not available at the church, but there is a multi-story car park at the nearby Grand Arcade shopping centre.
What can I expect when I visit the church?
Each service runs for about one hour and is informal in style. No prior knowledge is assumed, and you won't be required to say or pray anything that you do not believe. At the heart of each service is a reading and sermon from the Bible, and there is also a mixture of hymns and contemporary songs, prayers, news, baptisms and the sharing of the Lord's Supper.
Be sure to look for our Welcome Team as you enter: as well as welcoming you, they'll be able to explain how things work and where to go.
What happens to the kids at church?
We have groups for children at church for ages 3-14 that take place during our 10am service. Children stay with their parents at the start of the service as we sing worship songs together. The speaker will make it clear where and when children need to go to their groups. We also provide two supervised crèches, for babies and for toddlers, as well as a dedicated feeding room for nursing mothers and their babies.
The groups will last for about 40 minutes and the children can expect to have fun playing games, and learning about God in a relevant way.
At our 11.30am and 5pm services there are no organised groups for children, but there is a creche room available for parents and carers to take their children during the service (where they can still hear and see the service).
Is there a dress code?
No! Just wear whatever you normally wear – others will be wearing anything from shirt and jacket to jeans and a t-shirt.
Will I be made to feel uncomfortable?
Not at all! We will be welcoming, and you will not be forced to do anything you are not comfortable doing. We want you to feel right at home and enjoy the service. Do join us for a tea and coffee after the service to get to know some people from the church.
I have more questions; how can I get in touch and ask them?
You can use the contact form at the top of this page, or feel free to call (01223 518218) or email the church office with any questions you have and we will be happy to help you.
