St Andrew the Great church, Cambridge

The Jesus Lane Trust

In 1985, ex-students set up the Jesus Lane Trust to support the student work at St Andrew the Great both financially and in prayer. The Trust currently funds 6 student workers and 4 church assistants, and produces a newsletter once a term.

I always look forward to opening the JLT newsletter because it feels like news from family. I was in Cambridge, I was served by the Jesus Lane Trust, and I want to know how things are going now, so that I can pray for them.

Giving

The policy of the Jesus Lane Trust is not to build an endowment but rather to appeal for funds periodically. Our previous appeal was in 2006, and at the current rate of income and expenditure the Trust will run out of funds in December 2012. We are therefore currently seeking to raise £400,000 to pay for another five years of pastoral care. The previous appeal brochure is available here as a PDF for you to view (or please This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it us and let us know how many copies you would like).

Please consider supporting us financially. One-off donations to the Jesus Lane Trust enable us to delay our next appeal, and standing orders enable us to budget for this work. If you would like to support the student ministry, you can download, print and post a response form to us.

Kath Rothman

I have been generously supported by the Jesus Lane Trust for the past two and a half years. Receiving this financial support has made the ministry I do amongst students at St Andrew the Great possible. It has enabled me to concentrate on investing in individuals, doing a deep work in a few in order to reach the many. I hope it is an encouragement for you to read the JLT newsletter and realise that it is your giving which makes all the work reported there possible. Thank you!
Kath Rothman, Associate pastor for students
