Focus

Focus is our mid-week Bible study for students at St Andrew the Great. Come along and give it a try to:

We meet from 7.00pm-9.00pm every Tuesday evening during the Cambridge University term. If this sort of thing is new to you, why not join a group and just sit and listen for a few weeks? We reckon small groups like Focus are vital in looking after you and helping you look after others. Make it a priority!

Focus on Romans

The gospel is the Christian good news, and Paul’s letter to the Romans sums it up like this: ‘The righteous will live by faith’. But what is this ‘faith’? What is the ‘life’ that it brings? And what does it mean to be ‘righteous’ in response to it? This year we’ll be studying Romans together, taking a term to answer each of those questions.

Michaelmas Term: Romans 1-4, Understanding the Gospel
Lent Term: Romans 5-11, Experiencing the Gospel
Easter Term: Romans 12-16, Living out the Gospel

This term, we focus on ‘Living out the Gospel’. Romans 12-16 takes us to the heart of worship and shows us how the gospel transforms our attitude to ourselves and others. Paul has shown us that the gospel is the best news in the world, and these are key chapters in helping us to live flat out for it.
