What is a StAG Link?
A StAG Link is any student who wants to be a partner helping in the work of St Andrew the Great rather than just a customer receiving from it. There are lots of ways to serve as a StAG Link:
-
We always need people willing to welcome at the three services. So many people who are new to the church and Christianity walk through the doors on a Sunday, and we want them to feel welcome. For more details email Meera Srinivasan.
- During the 10.00am service we run two supervised crèches—a babies’ and a toddlers’ crèche—and we really value people who are willing to come and keep the babies entertained, allowing their parents to be in the service and hear the teaching without distraction.
- The lunches and dinners we have at St Andrew the Great throughout the year could not happen were it not for the tireless help of congregation members preparing the food, setting up, serving and washing up.
- Can you play an instrument, sing or run the sound desk? We’re always looking for people to help out with the music at all the services. For more information, email Steve Nicholson.
The only commitment that we ask for our StAG Links is that you come to our five training sessions held throughout the year, because we see them as an important way of equipping you to serve the wider church. These are held at the beginning of each term, with three at the start of the academic year.
I’m interested in becoming one!
