Students at St Andrew the Great often ask to meet up with an older Christian just as one-off. Maybe they have a question that’s been bugging them, or they need some advice, or they just want a helping hand. If you think that might be useful, then get in touch and we’ll fix you up with someone to meet up with over coffee or a drink.
But many students also like to meet with someone more regularly, perhaps each week, to read the Bible and pray together. It’s up to you quite how you might use that time, but it’s a great way to grow as a Christian.

Meeting for one to ones with an older Christian has been key to my growth as a man of God. It is the ideal setting for getting stuck into God's word and working out how it applies practically with the guidance of a more experienced Christian. Food, bible and prayer. How better to spend a lunch hour?

One-to-ones were such a blessing to me in my first year. I learned so much about God, how to pray and read the Bible better, and how God wants me to live. I could be completely comfortable wrestling with God’s word and was always pulled back to God’s truths. It was also a great encouragement to be praying regularly with an older Christian.
