Welcome to Cambridge! Moving to a new country brings new experiences, changes, and challenges. St Andrew the Great is becoming an increasingly international church, and we hope that you quickly feel at home with us. We welcome Christians and anyone who wants to find out more about Christianity.
We run a number of mid-week activities especially for internationals. All of our groups aim to learn together from the Bible, so we can know God better and love him more. They also allow us to spend time with people from our home countries and cultures, so that we can support each other during our time in Cambridge. The regular international events are:
- iHUB (postgraduates and 20s–30s)
iHUB is our Bible study fellowship group for university postgraduate students and other adults in their 20s–30s. - iBASE (language students and young adults)
iBASE is a fun way to join a church and discover Christianity. It is in simple English, so is ideal for language students, au-pairs, and others studying in Cambridge for short periods. - International Women’s Bible Study
The women’s groups meet during the day, with a crèche for children.
We also organise other events during the year to help us get to know other people in the church, events for people wanting to find out about Christianity, and an international women’s orientation course. In addition to these, all of the other activities of the church are open to internationals, including the Men’s Morning Bible Study, HUB, and Homegroups; and there are international groups at Arena.
