St Andrew the Great church, Cambridge

Although our Sunday services lie at the heart of what we do, our midweek small groups are a vital part of our church family life and give us the opportunity to get to know each other better, read the Bible and pray together, and care for each other.

The aim of all our groups is to hear and obey God’s word by studying it together, and so encourage one another to grow in faith and to reach out in love. Groups usually consist of about eight to twelve people, including two or three leaders, and meet weekly. There are many times and formats to suit you.

Exploring the Christian faith

Arena is an informal five-week course exploring the basics of Christianity for those who are just looking, undecided or want a refresher on the basics. No question is too simple or too hostile.

Evening Bible Study Groups

Homegroups meet on Wednesday evening in homes, often with a geographical bias, and you're welcome whatever stage you're at.

HUB is for 20s-30s (including postgraduates) and is especially appreciated by people new to the church who wish to meet a wider group of people at a similar stage in life.

iHUB is for international postgraduate students and professionals in their 20s-30s.

Morning Bible Study Groups

Women’s Bible Study Groups meet on a Tuesday or a Thursday morning (some for international women). Each group has a supervised crèche for young children.

Men’s Early Morning Bible Study (MEMBS) meets at St Andrew the Great early on Tuesday mornings before work.

And more...

There are also groups for the retired, undergraduate students, internationals and Youth & Children. For more information about any of these groups, browse the pages for each group, or come to any service on Sunday and ask at our Information Desk.
